Cuddly Cushions!

I love trying a new idea out! (My head is always crammed full of them!) M has been asking me for ages to make some cushions for the sofas in his studio https://www.facebook.com/ArcCreativeArts
As practically everything in the studio is upcycled, we had the idea of using old jumpers and cardigans to make cushion covers.
After sourcing some at local charity shops, washing them, chopping them up and sewing them into covers, I think I'm going to struggle to part with them!!
What do you think?! I love them!
I'm going to make some more for the large back cushions on our corner sofa at home too. A good mooch in more charity shops beckons.....

Before...

After...! Ta- Dah! (I didn't have a 'before photo' of the grey jumper)

I love the button opening. The cardigan was very chunky, so I had to handstitch the seams using matching yarn. I did manage to zigzag the raw edges on the machine first

I used the ribbing on the front and back for the envelope opening

Back at last!

It seems an age since I was able to get on here! Something went wrong with my blog link and I couldn't edit or add posts - all lost now :(
But.....Exciting developments! I have officially launched RosieragsCrafts to sell (and hire) my wares. My celebration bunting has now been exhibited at 2 wedding fayres, run by The Stunning Tents Company, in Tadley, Hampshire. I'm beginning to get bookings in and lots of like on my Facebook page. Why not visit it?! There's a prize incentive for liking and sharing my latest post!
Here are a few more bunting pics...
The button ends are great for fastening longer lengths across a space - my husband's ingenious idea!
